Chhibramau assembly seat will witness a fight amongst BJP, SP and BSP in the coming 2017 assembly elections. In 2014 parliamentary general elections, the SP candidate from Kannauj parliamentary seat, Dimple, had established a lead of 23633 votes over her nearest BJP rival Subrat Pathak in the Chhibramau assembly segment.
